Day 1

Welcome friend. I hope you will find this blog encouraging as you take the time to go into your secret room, close the door and spend time with your Abba. He promises to reward you! You are responding to the invitation of Jesus Himself. He has invited you to come.
I am praying for you today as Paul prays in Philippians 1:9-10,
"Lord, I pray that our love for each other will overflow more and more, and that we will keep on growing in our knowledge and understanding. Lord, I pray that we would understand what really matters..."

  1. As I sat quietly before the Lord this morning my prayer was that He would help me to hear only His voice and not the voices of others around me or even my own voice. Help me Lord to hear only you.

  2. Lord, put your law into my mind and write your truths upon my heart! Thank you that you are my Father God and I am your daughter! Help me to remain in you throughout this day . . .

  3. Thank you Lord for this quiet time. As you spoke to me on the Women's Retreat - You truly said "Be Still". I praise You Father God for loving me as your precious child. I thank you for stillness, peace and rest.

Praise God for these words from a fellow believer regarding Psalm 62
The proverb that speech is silver but silence is gold, is more than true in this case. No eloquence in the world is half so full of meaning as the patient silence of a child of God. It is an eminent work of grace to bring down the will and subdue the affections to such a degree, that the whole mind lies before the Lord like the sea beneath the wind, ready to be moved by every breath of His mouth.

  4. Grace,
Your words were exactly what I needed to hear this past weekend. I was already feeling convicted about never sitting still before I even arrived at the Hume Women's Retreat. But your words about "God pursuing me" really made me think. I got up this morning and sat still so that God and I could spend some time together. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

  5. Thanks for commenting friends...Heather, you are welcome. God gave me the meal I needed as well. You all are a blessing. God is pursuing you! Isn't that incredibly beautiful? A great truth to set you mind on.

  6. Thank you Lord for speaking so clearly to me over the weekend, from the very first night to now. From Isaiah 30, quietness and confidence are my strength. I will seek Your truth Lord Jesus.

  7. Started my 30 days this morning. I wasn't able to hear your last lecture on Sunday. So I found out about the challenge on Wed. Psalms 63 really spoke to me this morning. His STEADFAST love is better than anything this life has to offer. Casting my cares on him, because he really does care for me.
Awesome weekend Grace, God was evident in your voice.
